Bill Cotter is my April, Knight of the Month. He is our current Financial Secretary. Not only does he do an excellent job at that, he is our bookkeeper for Bingo. Bill has been a great help to me in keeping up with the books for the
Council and completing the paperwork that Supreme requires from every Council. 6269 got Star Council for 2009-2010, in large part because of Bill’s efforts. Bill retired from the Navy a few years ago and transferred to this council from up north. Next time you see him, buy him a Diet Dr. Pepper and let him know what a great job he is doing.
James “Pat” Theriot and his wife Rosalie are my April family of the month. They moved here from Vidor, Texas in 2004. Pat has been a Knight for eight years. Pat and Rosalie feed the young Catholics student group at UTA for the council. Pat, at seventy-three years young, moved to the metroplex to be closer to his children after he retired from teaching. Rosalie helps in the kitchen on an as-needed basis, plus special functions at the hall, such as the installation dinner and our 5th Thursday socials and Corporate Communion Breakfast. She is also retired from the Vidor school district. Pat and Rosalie ar valuable members of 6269. I feel lucky to know them and call them close friends.
